Vaccines are always changing and improving, which is good news for those getting improved vaccines, bad news for those that got the vaccine before improvement. But the attempt at improving the Pneumococcal Vaccine has shown that this vaccine in particular is hard to master. This vaccine has been on and off the shelves for years due to the high risk of injury and death, and according to the newest study out on it, apparently the vaccine kills 5 babies via SIDS for every one it saves from Pneumococcal related illness. How can the AAP still recommend this vaccine after those shocking results? It's not easy to say no to the people who put food on the table, I guess. Research before you vaccinate, and assess whether your child is going to be helped or harmed by this new vaccine. To find out more about vaccines, please visit Birthologie.com
